About The Cottage
Bishop's Cottage is a warm and welcoming semi-rural cottage. With beamed ceilings and a wood-burning stove, our traditional cottage maintains all of its charm and character alongside modern and tasteful design. The cottage, which sleeps 4 and is child and dog friendly, is set in a peaceful location but is within easy reach of shops and local amenities as well as being conveniently located within walking distance of two pubs.
Discover Kynren, Bishop Auckland Castle & Deer Park, market place food festivals and the Auckland Tower. Durham, Barnard Castle, Newcastle, Seaham, North East coast and both the Durham & Yorkshire Dales
It is the perfect rustic retreat with views across the fields and surrounding countryside. With the spectacular Kynren & Auckland Castle visible from the cottage, it’s the perfect base to stay and enjoy all that the area has to offer.

This is a lovely place: a tastefully decorated space, very well equipped, very comfortable and a great welcome too - wine, biscuits, chocolates etc. Exceptionally clean, even for these Covid times. Our hosts (even at a distance) were helpful and attentive. It's a cosy place to stay when exploring the Durham Dales. Hugely recommend it, you will love it, I'm sure!

A gem of a cottage! Extremely clean. Everything you need for a great stay. A little welcome pack and chocolates and wine was greatly received. My daughters thought the chocolates on their beds was truly wonderful. Hosts are super helpful and reply instantly. Beds are super comfy. It’s cozy and homelike. We had a fantastic stay.

Absolutely charming little cottage, perfect for for 4 adults - lovely view out the back and very peaceful. Everything is decorated to perfection with lovely little touches all over the house. The key collection is really convenient, leaving no time pressure. There's also plenty of parking out the front on the road.

A fabulous cottage in a beautiful area. Everything you need is there & our whole experience was great. Very thoughtful complimentary wine, chocolate & biscuits was a lovely extra touch. The cottage was sparkling clean & felt very comfortable & relaxing. We hopefully will return again soon.
